Unlike brass and copper, commonly found in a lot jewelry, stainless steel is an extremely robust metal, and with its high durability will easily withstand the signs of daily wear. A perfect base metal of choice for the jewelry you want to wear every day with its resistance to scratches and tears.

Gold coating matters ✨

When we say you don't see the base metal, that is of course because of the gorgeous and shiny gold we put on top of it. How that's done, however, really matters when it comes to jewelry.

Koréil uses a process called PVD coating, which in short coats the base metal with an outer layer - in our case a 1.5-2 microns thick layer of 18K gold. This is up to four times as thicker than most gold plated jewelry you'll find on the market.

This process is very precise and results in a brilliant and durable finish to ensure a long lifetime for the jewelry pieces. In this process we also use titanium nitride to harden the coating for that extreme durability, making it even more resistant to corrosion than regular gold plating.

What if I'm sensitive to some metals? ✅

Metal sensitivity is more common than you'd think, and the typical metals found in common jewelry we can be sensitive to are brass, zinc, nickel and lead.

We definitely don't want that, so we made our jewelry pieces hypoallergenic - which is something we're very proud of to offer. For the more sensitive skins out there, Koréil Jewelry is definitely a safe choice.
